ABOUT ABOUT

Join PFS in welcoming Kaïa Kater for a PFS House Concert!

Few are more conscious in their journey through Appalachian histories and the Canadian musical landscape than Kaïa. Born in Montreal, Kaïa has lived Winnipeg, Wakefield and, most recently, West Virginia, she now resides in Toronto. Her old-time banjo-picking skills, deft arrangements, and songwriting abilities have landed her in the spotlight in North America and the UK, garnering critical acclaim from outlets such as Rolling Stone, CBC Music and The Roots Music Report.  Often praised for her capacity to sound new and old at once, Kaïa anchors her music the space where tradition and innovation intersect.

PFS and the hosts ask that guests act in a respectful manner and be considerate of the performers and other attendees--if you do not, you may be asked to leave by PFS staff or the hosts.

Advance registrations for this performance are REQUIRED.

Admission is free for PFS members and $12 for non-members.

The concert will be located at the McGlinchey residence in Philadelphia, PA.  Precise address given the Friday before the event or when tickets are sold out, whichever comes first! The address will also appear on the confirmation immediately after purchasing your ticket!

Please bring something to share!  Pot luck at 7:00pm, music at 7:30pm.
