Join PFS in welcoming Avi Wisnia & Jason Ager for a PFS House Concert!
Award-winning singer/songwriter Avi Wisnia presents an eclectic mix of refreshingly original songs and inventive covers, finding inspiration in Brazilian bossa nova, acoustic American folk, 1950’s west-coast jazz, and contemporary pop. Avi’s clever lyrics give a knowing nod to his contemporaries, while his smooth vocals and deft piano skills assure you that this is truly something new. Avi has toured the country with his dynamic ensemble and his debut full-length album, Something New, performing in prestigious venues across the country – from The Kennedy Center to The Philadelphia Museum of Art, giving a TED talk about “The Nature and Nurture of Bossa Nova” and even spending a month performing in Brazil. Avi has performed alongside artists such as The Roots, Ani DiFranco, Arturo Sandoval, and Maroon 5, and his music has been featured on TV and in featured films.
Jason Ager is a dedicated father, a passionate college professor, and a hyper-literate original songwriter. Balancing a PhD in German Literature with a few days a week as a stay-at-home dad, Jason still plays more than 100 shows a year in the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. On his third album, Porchlight, Ager’s talent as a storyteller shines as he weaves together the academic and the arcane into clever lyrics that reward the careful listener. Nestled comfortably atop classic soul, R&B, and rock influences, songs like “Overload” and “Everybody Needs Love” epitomize Jason’s ability to rouse hearts and minds in the same breath.
PFS and the hosts ask that guests act in a respectful manner and be considerate of the performers and other attendees--if you do not, you may be asked to leave by PFS staff or the hosts.

Admission is free for PFS members and $12 for non-members.
Venue is located at the Arico Residence in Wayne, PA. Precise address given the Friday before the event or when tickets are sold out, whichever comes first! The address will also appear on the confirmation immediately after purchasing your ticket!
